NO EMPTY BOWLS PET FOOD BANK

NO EMPTY BOWLS PET FOOD BANK

The No Empty Bowls Pet Food Program is transitioning away from being a pick-up site for pet food requests at the shelter. Humane Society London & Middlesex will focus on connecting families in need with resources to help them feed their pets, rather than providing food directly. We have partnered with several locations in London and the surrounding areas to distribute pet food where it is needed most.

Please note that pet food pickups will no longer be available at our shelter as we shift our focus to established community programs. While finding loving homes for animals remains our priority, we also aim to assist pet owners experiencing hardships. If you are considering surrendering a pet due to financial challenges, we encourage you to explore the support networks listed below first.

THE STORY OF NO EMPTY BOWLS

No Empty Bowls was founded by Kevin and Wendy Gorman in 2013.

Having noticed a strong need for pet food support in their community, Wendy and Kevin knew they wanted to help pets and their people in order to keep pets at home and not go hungry because of owner hardship.  For 10 years, this incredible couple ran the No Empty Bowls program from their home and positively impacted the lives of hundreds of pets each and every month for 10 years!

Wendy and Kevin announced retirement from the No Empty Bowls program in February 2023.  They have both been instrumental in navigating the transition of this needed program to HSLM so that this important work could continue to help the animals in our community.  We are so thankful for all of the work they have done to make this program what it is and are committed to carry-on their legacy of the No Empty Bowls program.
